We are proud to be launching our plastic free schools campaign, inspired by the charity Surfers Against Sewage. Here at Greenshaw, we carried a school wide survey where we investigated areas around the school that used single use plastic. The results showed that people are most concerned about the large amount of single use plastic within the school canteen; the most listed items being takeaway containers, sandwich wrappers and plastic drink bottles.
Our mission..
- Remove unnecessary single use plastic from our eating areas
- Reduce our total plastic consumption
- Reuse items instead of buying single use
- Recycle any waste we still produce
